Close to thirty years ago I began utilizing the services of GCDC. Being a single mom working long hours I found a place where I could leave my child and not worry about the care of my child in my absence. It was like a home environment. First, there was a warm atmosphere, next, the staff there not only appeared to but showed genuine care, for my son. Now 30 years later I can say that, that same atmosphere plus more is being displayed at GCDC. My two grandsons now attend GCDC, and the afterschool program is outstanding. The children are helped with their homework. They even have access to teachers from the school they attend Any special needs that can be met are put into place. I love how they help keep the children in a caring atmosphere, for on another. The teachers display patience, kindness and cheerfulness with the children! My children love the program and always tell me I came too early to pick the up! Thank you GCDC for being an outstanding, next to home environment for my children and grandchildren!

You, Betsy, have always been available and supportive whenever we had a question or concern. Your willingness to work with Early Intervention was very helpful to us. The way you handle transitions to new classrooms is mindful and caring, as is your implementation of the Pyramid Model in each classroom. The partnerships and community ties you have made is very evident both in and outside the walls of the classroom. We have been fortunate to receive all kinds of supplies, including gift cards, turkeys, and rapid COVID tests, as a result of your efforts and partnerships.

I'd like to thank the GCDC staff for everything they do to support the families of Glassboro and for the love and care they show our kids. My children have been attending both Summer camp and after school care since 2020 and I am continuously impressed by the thoughtful, enriching experiences they have everyday. We all benefit from having this safe, easy, affordable option, right in their school building. Having some of the same teachers for years, in an industry with notorious levels of turn over says so much about the quality of this program. The icing on the cake is the grant-funded JURASSIC program that we will be eligible for next year, with FREE aftercare. But even paying full price for GCDC programs is more than 100% worth it.

As a teacher of big kids in the district, I have seen first hand what awesome programs GCDC has for older students. When our son started school, it was a joy and a relief to have him enrolled in the RASKEL program at Rodgers School. Not only did I know he was safe and well-supervised, he learned so many new things. They have a million activities to keep the kids busy without overstimulating them after a long day of kindergarten. They treat all the kids with love and respect and know them well. We feel so fortunate to have had access to high-quality, reasonably-priced, and convenient childcare before and after school.
