We are happy to announce that IM4U will be joining us at J. Harvey Rodgers School for an assembly for our Preschool and Kindergarten children. Jim Mayer, guitarist with Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefers, is the creator and CEO of IM4U and will entertain our kids with his songs and puppets. IM4U is a teacher and curricular resource that blends fun, music, and activities with cooperative problem-solving to teach young children ages 4-6 lifelong social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. IM4U speaks to children in their own language with fun music, videos, puppets skits, cooperative games, and creative play.
This approach helps children explore and experience healthy behaviors and develop their unique identity as they learn these foundational skills.
GCDC first met Jim Mayer in 2021 and partnered with IM4U as part of their pilot program in 2022, as the first school in the country to use the program.
