Joan Dillon has been serving families since 1985, beginning in Virginia and Mississippi and finding her way to Glassboro Child Development Centers now for over 30 years – spending the last 20 years as Executive Director. Providing service and adding value to others are the things that are most important to Joan, who is the 2021 Child Care Success “Change the World” award winner. Joan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rowan University and Infant Family Specialist endorsement and Reflective Supervision Certificate from Montclair State University. Joan is a successful grant writer, quality coach and trainer. Joan serves with Women United of Gloucester County and was a member of the Governor Murphy’s Third Sector Council during the pandemic. She has been instrumental in bringing needed tuition assistance to ALICE families through United in Care, a partnership with the United Way of Northern NJ.
Joan lives in Glassboro with her husband Randy and beagle Blue, where they’ve raised four grown children and have nine grandchildren. Joan enjoys road trips, live music, the beach, and enjoying nature from her backyard oasis.
