Hi, my name is MeKayla Jackson-Ukaha. I currently hold the position of Lead Registered Behavior Technician, offering Applied Behavior analysis (ABA) services across clinical, school, and home settings. My journey in the field of education began in 2015, I have held diverse roles as a substitute, intern, and inclusion advocate. Based on my experience, I decided to further my education and career within special education and related services.
In 2018, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a specialized focus on Behavioral Services for Children and their families from Rowan University. I continued my education at Saint Joseph University, earning my Maser’s degree in special Education, with a concentration in Applied Behavioral Analysis, in 2022. Having recently fulfilled my fieldwork requirements, I am poised to sit for my board exams, aiming to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) within the upcoming year.
In addition to my work in the filed of education, I am also a certified birth and labor doula. In this role, I provided essential emotional, physical, and educational support to expectant individuals during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experiences.
My unwavering passion revolves around the welfare of families and their children, ensuring they thrive within a nurturing environment while gaining access to essential resources and knowledge for a prosperous life.
