GCDC Participates in A Day Without Childcare

Monday, May 13, 2024 was called  “A Day Without Childcare”. On this day, we joined with others in the state of New Jersey to advocate for funding, from the state level, for affordable, quality childcare. Currently funding has run out and the extra Covid funds that childcare centers have been using to keep the industry going over, the last few years, is now gone.
GCDC families wore stickers to their workplaces, that said, “Thanks to Childcare, I am at work”, in support of this cause.

GCDC families also signed petitions which were returned to ACNJ,(Advocates for Children of New Jersey),  who will send a postcard, in the parent’s name, to the legislators who represent our community asking for funding.
