Glassboro Child Development Centers was recently awarded a $24,000 Career Accelerator Internship Program Grant (CAIPG) from the Department of Labor to create summer internships for undergraduate and recently graduated college students. “We will be able to employ six part time special support staff to work with our children in each summer camp, to support successful participation. Some of our students need social, emotional and language support and these internships will match them with talented college students who will build experience, or recent graduates who will apply skills before launching a career. Everyone wins!
GCDC also partners with Rowan University as an off campus Federal Work Study program provider. We welcome FWS students as well as interns during the school year who work with our students and earn college credits.
