My name is Itzaida Romero and I am the Programs Director with GCDC. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University Camden, and an Associates in Elementary and Secondary Education from Camden County College. When I started this journey in 2004, I had no idea that I would have the privilege to serve hundreds of children 6 weeks to 16 years of age and their families. I have worked with children and families in Camden City, Clayton, and Glassboro. I look forward to being able to serve our community and provide children with positive experiences that will enrich their lives.
I live in Camden with my husband Marvin and my two adult children, Chris and Iza. I am an auntie to four handsome boys. During my free time I love to read, travel, garden, and spend time with family and friends. My favorite colors are purple and turquoise blue. Love all things pineapple, unicorns, Harry Potter and Nightmare Before Christmas. My all-time favorite book is Matilda by Roald Dahl and my favorite movie is Nightmare Before Christmas.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your student’s educational journey.
