Glassboro Child Development Centers (GCDC) teachers recently completed team building exercises in a fun, interactive program called Goat Yoga. The exercise involves doing yoga poses while balancing goats. This goat yoga also integrated adorable puppies, elevating the fun and the interactions with the employees and goats. GCDC hosted this event to help our employees unwind and enjoy an afternoon of health and wellness. Yoga already provides great health benefits. Adding the goats and puppies into the mix works further enhances the stress relief. Studies show that having animals nearby can be therapeutic and can overall benefit the mind of a person.
All of our employees recently participated in a Chunky Blanket class at an AR Workshop. This chunky blanket class taught our employees about mental health issues and included team building exercises to increase their mental health awareness. Knitting has been proven to provide the average person with mental health benefits. Making the knitting process larger than normal via chunky blankets makes it an easy therapeutic experience. Our employees knitted a group blanket, and enjoyed working together to create the final product!
